The 2016-17 season marks the 6th season that Greg Harris has owned the Pensacola Ice Flyers. He joined the ownership group as a minority partner back in June 2011, taking over majority control a season later. He made the move from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to the gulf coast prior to the beginning of the 2011-12 regular season.
Growing up in small town Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Canada, Greg started playing hockey at the age of three and has been involved in some facet of the game ever since, playing hockey in the college ranks, coaching and scouting Canadian junior and major junior hockey, conducting hockey schools and power skating clinics, and now ownership.
Throughout his tenure, the Ice Flyers have won the SPHL President’s Cup three times (2013, 2014 and 2016), losing in the finals in 2012 and making semifinal and quarterfinal appearances in the other two seasons. Under his leadership, the team has also set hew heights in attendance, fan experience, market visibility and community outreach, which he gives credit to his entire organization, the fans of Ice Flyer Nation, and the corporate and media partners of the team.
Greg looks to continue and expand the success of the team and is committed to the longevity of the Ice Flyers in Pensacola.
Jeff enters his first season as the Ice Flyers Head Coach and his six season of coaching in the pro ranks. He immediately started his coaching career after finishing his pro playing career in 2009-10. He was the bench boss for the Mississippi Surge in Biloxi for three seasons until the team folded, and was names the SPHL Coach of the Year for the 2011-12 season. He then became the head coach of the Fayetteville FireAntz in 2015-16. For the last two seasons and led them to a second place finish this past season. His team has the highest home winning percentage over the last season with a home record of 39-12-5.
Jeff had an extremely successful playing career, which includes 18 seasons at the pro level in North America and in Europe. He spent his last eight seasons with the Laredo Bucks of the CHL, winning two championships and accumulating 640 points in 458 games. Bes is a former Pensacola Ice Pilot, playing 48 games and tallying 68 points during the 2000-01 season. He also won a gold medal when he represented Team Canada in the World Junior Hockey Championships in 1992-93. Jeff was drafted by the Minnesota North Stars in the third round, 58th overall, in 1992.
Originally from Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada, he now resides in Hattiesburg, MS. with his wife Emily and daughter Ava.
VP, Corporate Fulfillment
Brittany is entering her fourth season with the Ice Flyers. Originally from Pensacola, she went on to attend the University of Florida, earning a degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism with a specialization in Recreation and Event Management. While in school, she gained her first experience in sports by working in guest relations for the Florida baseball team. Brittany moved to Washington, DC in 2010 to intern with the Legg Mason Tennis Classic and the National Park Service. Upon returning to Pensacola, she worked in Community Relations and Promotions for the inaugural season of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Director of Ticket Sales
Brittainy was born and raised in Pensacola and graduated from Pensacola State College with a B.S. in Organizations Administration in 2013. She is entering her second season with the Ice Flyers after serving as the team’s Group Sales Manager during the 2014-15 season. From 2012 to 2014 she served as an Assistant Athletic Coordinator for PSC and from 2012 to 2015 she was PSC’s Assistant Softball Coach. She has also worked for Smoothie King as a Marketing Director in 2015 and early 2016. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Maximus.
Group Sales Manager
Mitch is in his second season with the Ice Flyers, after serving as the teams Merchandise Manager for the 2015-16 season. Mitch is currently a senior at the University of West Florida, majoring in Management with a minor in Marketing. Originally from Fairfax, Va., Mitch has called Pensacola home since 2013. During his free time, he enjoys playing golf, going to the beach, watching Washington D.C. sports teams, and spending time with family and friends.
Jen enters her fifth season as the Ice Flyers’ athletic trainer. She is employed by Select Physical Therapy, working mainly with the Ice Flyers and the Blue Wahoos. Originally from Wisconsin, Jen has most recently worked for 6 years with a NAHL Junior A hockey team in Owatonna, MN. Prior to that, she worked for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire working with a variety of sports. Jen is very excited to be working with her two favorite sports at the professional level. In her free time Jen enjoys yoga, baking, and spending time at the beach.
